Default Media file transfer, PC to laptop

how can i transfer media files from my old desktop to my new laptop? the transfer would be from a Compaq Presario desktop to a Dell Inspiron laptop...

two issues: the two computers are not networked together, and it's about 10 GB of data...

could get you a drive enclosure and take the Hard drive out of the compaq they are pretty cheap now

This is a neat toy that can also get the job done and you don’t even have to have a network or external storage. But I haven’t bought one of these yet to try out yet but looks like it’ll work pretty well.
