Default network question

ok, i have a laptop computer and a desktop computer. laptop has vista and desktop has ubuntu and xp running on it. i use virtual dj alot and to have it set up properly, you need two soundcards ( one out for headphones, one for speakers, one input for left turntable and one for right turntable)

i was wondering if i could network the two computers and share the desktops soundcards (its got two of em) to the laptop. is that possible?

oh ya, virtual dj doesnt have a port for linux so the laptop has to be running vista.

Can you not configure your sound card to have 2 inputs, use the front headphone, and use the rest for speakers???With my sound program from my sound card I can change which port does what(like use mic port for headphones)

I've seen USB sound cards for next to nothing. You could always grab a hub and a pair of USB sound cards and switch that between computers.
