dual channel RAM will work in single channel mobo?

hey i want to get a cheap gigabyte motherboard and a bunch of reviewers wrote cons saying its a single channel(RAM). does that mean i cant use dual channel RAM or that it wont run dual channels. by the way i have no clue what dual channel or single channel is...

there is no such thing as duel channel ram. duel channel is referring to the mobo, as it runs the ram as duel channel. meaning useing an equal portion of each ram stick making it more efficient.

so your fine with the gigabite board.

Yes you can use a dual channel RAM kit in that motherboard, as Wired already said it's the motherboard that determines dual channel or single channel, there is nothing different about the RAM.
