Default sata hub (is it possible?)

My motherboard, ASUS P5KC, has four slots for SATA and I'm using all four of them. 1 for my DVD drive and 3 for 3x500gb hdd. I've got plenty of space in my case for hard drives and another DVD drive (will buy blue-ray once it's affordable with affordable media). Is there any way to split the sata ports sort of like a USB hub?

I know about port multipliers but those are external solutions and really expensive.
