I am looking at buying the following video card:
XFX PVT84JUDD3 GeForce 8600GT XXX 256 megabyte 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Supported Video Card Is this card made in the U.S.A.? If it isn't, what is a video card of comparable quality that is made in America?

AMD is and guess who bought out ATI. http://annualreport.amd.com/ For NVidia however BFG sees the "made in U.S. of A" comment in reviews. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814143116
BFG Technologies is a privately held U.S. based supplier of premium 3D video cards based on award-winning NVIDIA graphics technology. The employees of BFG Tech are dedicated to bringing the latest high quality, high-tech multimedia products to PC and gaming enthusiasts at competitive prices. http://www.bfgtech.com/about.aspx

What about MSI (Micro Star International)? Is their manufacturing done in the United States?

In fact I just set up one old case seeing a 128mb FX5200 used instead of the ATI 9550 256mb card I last ran with it for seeing 98SE there. On the other hand I have to look at XFX as more of a department brand then any real card being an import by the look of things. The home site provides nothing in that regard as far as company information there.

I used one as of yet but some love the brand and have great results while others report various problems at times. Apparently dispite those it's not any shabby brand while not taking on others like the brands mentioned before. The problems heard about however are more or less minor setting changes for certain things.
