Default Thoughts on my build idea

Well I am relatively new to this forum, originally I came here to do some research on the computer I would like to build. Recently my old system died, mother board went out taking the CPU, hard drive, and video cards with it. So right now I am on a little Acer Aspire L100, just enough to get on-line basically. The system will mostly be used for gaming and the like so I would like to hear your thoughts on what I picked out and hopefully give some feed back on what might be a good idea to change. Thanks for the help

You mean E8400, right

Also, i wouldn't get the 680i. They're not as good with the new 45nm cpu's (E8400), and are poor overclockers.

I would suggest for $250, the 780i

If you get windows vista, or even XP. Get no less than 2gb of ram, i would suggest getting vista 64bit paired with 4gb. 4Gb of ram will really shine in games such as crysis.

You're right I meant E3400 for some reason I do that all the time. I am more then likely be running XP since I have that laying around. Though I don't mind Vista and the whole 64bit doesn't sound to bad either.
