I've been having problems with my computer for some time but it always got fixed. Recently my father has been having problems with his computer as well. First, my computer crashed and would not boot up, so I reformatted it. That worked until I upgraded to Service Pack 2. (I'm running Windows XP Home) Then, when I tried to install my virus protection, Windows Live Onecare, it would not install. It said that windows installer could not be accessed. So, I called Windows Live Onecare support and they couldn't figure out the problem either. I eventually reformatted once more and got it installed. The next day when I turned on my computer I had the very same problem. I tried installing multiple programs such as Onecare, Windows Live Messenger, Zune software, and AVG Free Edition. I had no luck with any of them. So I decided to wait for my uncle to visit. Just a few minutes ago my dads computer began kicking him out of websites. He also tried to save a document on Photoshop and got kicked out of that. Now, when he boots up his computer, he gets a message that says microsoft explorer needs to close. My father's computer and mine are on the same network. I was guessing a virus maybe. But I cannot check that because I cannot install any antivirus programs. All help is greatly appreciated.
