Default Should -5V fluctuate?

What does -5V do anyway? My previous machines haven't even gotten a reading for it. The one in blue in my sig reads a -5V, it jumps around from -5.18 to -0.38. Is this a problem?

Ignore it, -5V is not used in modern systems, and most modern PSUs don't even have a -5V rail, which is why software readings give an inaccurate result.

Yes, and it doesn't have a -5V rail.
