I built this computer for just over 1000 dollars. My first time building one but it runs good.
Asus M3A motherboard PCI-E NVidia GeForce 8800 GT AMD Athlon 5200 x2 dual core 2.7 ghz 2 GB OCZ 800 mhz RAM Seagate SATA 160GB HD 20x DVD-Rom Windows Vista Home Premium Apevia x-Cruiser case black with blue LED lights came with 450W PS Please give me some feedback to tell me if this is a decent built computer for my first time. Thanks Last edited by Instinct5; 02-22-2008 at 11:57 PM. |

It looks nice, but did the build include the monitor? I'm asking because it sounds kind of overpriced, as my built (similar to yours, but with 4 gigs of ram and Q6600 + X-fi) costs just over $1000.
Eitherway, I would suggest that you get a new powersupply ASAP, Apevia isn't exactly known for their quality PSUs..

no it didnt not come with a monitor but the over 1000 was more of i had to buy 2 motherboards due to one being a dud. The guy a the store told me that when i get some cash to upgrade the power supply due to it being a little weak for such a big card and everything else. It's actually running good i dont lag in games and im loving the speed. My old computer was ment for just having one and going from that to a gaming computer its awsome but thanks for the reply......

we sent it into ASUS and they are gunna see if they can refurbish it and then give us it back. Or we go to the store if they dont getting to work or whatever and they give us our money back. So it should all work out id rather the money though save up for a better PSU

meh, for over 500, you should definitely NOT be running and AMD, you should either have a e8400, or q6600.
