Guess that we are not too knowledgeable on computers in the computer forum or maybe I just did not expain it correctly. It is a use toolbar found from the main screen by right clicking to bring up misc user selections, ie, new, make new shortcut, notepad, etc

Well that was a wasted link, but I would assume that u can right click ur desktop and see a prompt that has under the word New and once clicked bring up another list of item u can use. If I could remember the name of this toolbar then I could probably find the solution myself but since I hardly ever use is it never occured to me to remember how to modify it. Have tons of time on my hands being totally disabled and thought I would just play with it. But hey if its too teck then don't worry about it, I want.

You might be thinking of Tweak UI.

Windows XP users

1. Install and open TweakUI.
2. Click on the Templates option in the left hand side of the window.
3. If you wish to remove any options available through the new section, you can highlight the icon you wish to remove and click the Delete button.
4. If you wish to add new templates, click the Create button and locate a file of your choice to add. If a template has not been created for the file you are attempting to add, you will receive an error. Additional information about how to associate a file can be found on document CH000572.

When you try to open the file and the Open with lists pops up just pick other, pick Edit Pad Pro and it should show up on the list from then on. Or go into your Folder Options- file types- pick the file type-click change and pick the program you want to open it.

If I am reading you correctly, you want to be able to right-click on your desktop and choose New -> Edit Pad Pro (document), and have a blank document open. What file extension will it be using?

U are right and thanks to all who tried to help but I had already fixed the problem and didn't realize it. By making editpro the default notepad program it became the text doc listed in the toolbar list, just doesn't show by name. Thanks again.
