No no! DDR2-1066 means it can support UP TO that speed! You could run DDR2-533 for all it cares and run fine! Stick with DDR2-800. Anything over that is useless.

1x 2GB stick will lose some performance due to no Dual Channel...

Everything is fine, I would recommend dropping an extra 30 on a 8800 GTS G92. Main reason would be for cooling. The 8800GT blows the hot air back into your case instead of shooting it out the exauhst port in the back. And there is quite a raise in performance also.

Id go with either the XFX or the BFG versions of the 8800GTS

Already ordered! I went with the 3870. I also shaved off $150 by getting a different case and power supply (both of which I am still quite happy with). Grand total: $1,483 including a nice 22" monitor. I didn't get the OS yet because I heard the vista price is going down.

Now I just have to get it put together and working...
