Exclamation External Harddrive problem, need help URGENTLY

Just a couple of days ago when I plugged in my external to my computer, it had a message showing that it had malfunctioned.
There is some irreplaceable data there that I need urgently.

Is there any way to hook it up to my computer internally?
Or any other easier way to fix this?

Any help is appreciated.

Let me tell you somethings you can do:
  1. uninstall hardrive from device manager and replug it back in to see it get reinstalled
  2. plug it into a different computer and check it
  3. post up the error code you ran into
to answer ur question of whether or not u can plug it internally, i think you can, but maybe u should try a different USB port first, i think uneed a usb to IDE or SATA adapter, but im not sure if they exist. post back results.

thanks for the reply =)

device manager lists it as an "unknown device"
and says that it has no drivers on there

different computer was no help,
and i have tried all usb ports available

is plugging it internally a hard thing to do?
