Default dvd burner problem

i've been trying to find out why my dvd burner wont burn dvd's for a little while now...by burn dvd's i mean video files. i make videos and want to put them on a dvd so they will play in my dvd player on the tv. this is the burner i have. ive come to the conclusion that it is a dvd-rom and will not burn dvds, but only reads them. is this correct?

ur burner can burn DVD's no problem. But it could be a software issue.

Nero isn't the greatest. Make sure your PC sees the drive as a RW, that your firmware is up to date, and then try using ImageBurn. It's free and works wonderfully.
