video troubles

hey um i recently bought a new laptop...toshiba m200....2 ghz, 3gb ram, radieon hd2400 gfx.... and um when im doing video out and when i close my laptop screen the movie skips, its not a problm with wmp cause i tried in other players...and when the screen is up its ok....am currently on vista....i never had this problem on my pc (though it runs on xp....and its not a laptop....)...was wonderin why this is happenin :/

The movie skips all the time or just skips once when you close it?

the notebook is probably trying to decide whether its going to sleep or playing a movie, i think. so, set your options so that the notebook "does nothing" when you close the lid. should be in your power settings.
