Question sound blaster not working after going to xp professional

Hello Everyone,

My sound blaster is not working on windows XP professional. It was working on windows 2000 but when I formatted and went to windows Xp professional nothing.I even did test on it(the software that came with it), and they all passed, I even made sure(From the speakers) the cord was plugged into the right plug on the sound card, even made sure there was power (to the speakers), even made sure it wasn't muted(in the volume control) , and still no sound. I am wondering if maybe its a driver problem.

Please any help would be great! or maybe I might have to go back to 2k

bye
Brock....

You sure you installed the right drivers for XP pro. What Sound Blaster model is it?

It should be on the card itself for the serial numbers and all other information.

Did your computer revert back to onboard audio? Go to Start > control panel > audio and see what its set to.

Im sorry to waste everyone's time my sound blaster has been discontinued just like everything in my life. They dont have drivers for it. Or I have to go buy another sound card, and the one I have works just fine if it only had newer drivers.

It works fine on windows 2000.

I am sorry guys to waste your time, I dont know what Im going to do now
