Question Stumped about Memtest86 + Voltages!

Okay, so I'm having some trouble using Memtest86. I've been trying to run some tests on my memory to check if they are okay. I've used the Windows Diagnostic Memory Tool + ran Orthos on blend, but I'm just not satisfied.

I downloaded Memtest86+ on www.memtest.org (latest version), extracted it with the normal Windows extracting program thing, and burned it onto a CD. I restart, put CD as first boot, and it says Boot from CD/DVD:, then just goes right into Windows. I'm not sure what I did wrong? Can anyone guide me in the right direction?

Also, I have 4 sticks of 1gb ddr2 800 memory, and I have them clocked at 900mhz at 4-4-4-12 timings at 2.2v. In the event that I do get memtest working, and something is not stable, should I try attempting to up the MCH voltages?

Any help would be very nice. Thanks!

When it says boot from CD/DVD you have to press a key

As for what voltages to increase, it depends on what's not stable. I would think you'd be OK with what you have set though.

hm, that's odd. I just went berserker on my keyboard while it said Boot from CD/DVD and it still just booted right into Windows. I suppose there might be some issue on the CD itself?

you could try to jsut disconnect the harddrive in your pc, so it cant boot up in windows.

on my pc it only says "press any key to boot from cd..." when i have windows inserted, it automatically boots memtest (iirc)
