Default Help Using Caddys

I have recently got the blue screen of death on my home computer and unfortunately it no longer turns on after numerous tries. I have lost everything from Itunes - pictures - videos.

I have heard that you can buy a caddy for approx. £20-£30 and this hooks up to your hard drive and are then able to re-cover all your old pictures. The only thing is that I have heard can be quite dangerous and can completely damage the whole computer. Please can somebody tell me if this is true?

Thank you and I look forward to your reply.

Olivia

If you can remove your hard drive and put it in another computer, with IDE you can have it as Slave or if it's SATA just plug it in the other computer and save your data.
