Video card upgrade for my XPS M1210

I'm looking to upgrade my video card in the future since I plan to hook up a 32" LCD TV. According to my computer, right now I have a "Mobile Intel(R) 945GM Express Chipset Family." What are some bigger cards that are compatible with my computer?

I doubt you can upgrade that laptop's video card. Apparently there are some that carried a Geforce 7400 is if you can find one SPECIFICALLY FOR YOUR LAPTOP, then you may be in business. Most laptop video cards are specific per system. But judging by the size of that system, it probably is integrated into the motherboard giving you no way to upgrade.

And if I upgraded the motherboard? I'm not that computer savy, so I don't know if this is even possibe or worthwhile.

It may be possible, depending on what connectivity everything uses. But just as with the GPU, you need the identical motherboard(just with the GPU of course) You'd be better off getting another laptop. Perhaps someone's selling a laptop like yours with a broken LCD and you could swap them out. Assuming both use the same internal connections.
