hey i am looking for a new AGP video card good for gaming. i currently have a x800xt pe AGP card. anyone have n e suggestions on a good one?

These days you really should look at upgrading to PCI Express

7600GT AGP is the best you can do.

yea, forgot about the 3850. i read about it, but they said that it would be rare and limited. guess not.

Get a cheap X1650Pro or 2600XT.
Don't worth to spend over $200 on AGP card IMO.

By the way, what spec have you got? Will it be better to change the Motherboard for the PCI-E card?

The Radeon 9550 x1050 is a very good AGP card. I have it in a gateway E-4100 and it plays Half-Life 2 at maximum settings and Doom 3 at Extreme Max Settings.

The x800XT is most likely better then the X1650.

The Radeon 9550 is extremely outdated, and how could you recommend him downgrading from an x800 to a 9550?
