Now I'm undecided on the RAM, which one of these should I get?

No, updating (flashing) the BIOS is not difficult. You'll receive specific instructions in the mobo manual. There's several ways to do it. I doubt that you'll run into any problems with regard to the BIOS when installing the processor.

Go with the XMS2. You can run that RAM at 4-4-4-12. In fact, I ran mine at 4-4-4-4 2T. You'll save a lot of money in the long run with the rebate, not to mention it's probably better than the GSkill.

Yeah, definately go with the Corsair RAM.
Maybe get a little bit more even =P

Let's see, with the rebates, you could get 4 gigs of RAM for just a little more than the price of 2 gigs. which, now that I think about it, I might just get that RAM =P

^ Yeah I thought of that but I only have 32-bit windows and I don't think I need 4GB at the moment. If I ever need it I'll just buy a second pair and who knows, maybe they'll be even cheaper then!

Thanks guys, I'm going with Corsair then.

So here's the final list, any other comments?

GIGABYTE GA-P31-S3G
Intel Dual Core E2160
2GB Corsair XMS2 PC6400
ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro

TOTAL: $226.81 US

Final question (I think! ), should I get the P31-S3G or the P35-DS3L?? Leaning towards teh P31 since it's cheaper.

The difference between is $25 US

But I'm still thinking, what if I want to get more RAM in the long run, I think I might go P35 so if I want more RAM I just add another pair of 1GB instead of getting rid of the 2GB and having to buy the 4GB...

Hahaha so I'm back to P35-DS3L
