Hi
Having trawled the forums to find a solution, I thought I'd document it here. Installing Nero6 and WMP9 I had no sound playing back DVD's, though other movies and music were fine. Turns out that Nero over-writes the audio codec in WMP (think Nero7 might be ok). To check, open WMP>tools>options>DVD>advanced. If it shows Nero in the main tab, you've lost your audio codec for DVD playback. Downloaded 'ac3 filter' from here. I used v1.09a because I knew it worked, but there are newer versions available. |
