Default Gaming Desktop Suggestion

I want to buy a Gaming Desktop. My budget is $2400-2500. I searched net and found two Branded Desktops- Alienware & Dell Xps 420. Liked both of them. But don't like each and every features of them. So will i buy a assembled desktop containing my favourite products or go for a Brand like Dell etc.?
Pls pls rep asap.

you should build it yourself - its more fun and its cheaper, and youll get to learn how to do it

what features do you want?
does this build have to include keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, etc?

Don't go custom! They'll charge lots more and give you crappier parts! Lemme have a shot at it
