Family Discount Rewards Multiple-PC Households
To make it easier for households with multiple PCs to make the move to Windows Vista, Microsoft is launching a limited-time offer for customers who buy retail copies of Windows Vista Ultimate. From Jan. 30 through June 30, the Windows Vista Family Discount will allow North American customers to license two additional copies of Windows Vista Home Premium for use on other PCs in the home at the reduced price of $49.99 each. Before completing the order online, customers will need to enter one valid full or upgrade Windows Vista Ultimate key from their retail boxed product. After eligibility is verified online, the customer can purchase licenses to install Windows Vista Home Premium on one or two additional Windows-based computers. The Windows Vista Family Discount is available only in the U.S. and Canada. Note: this limited time offer has now expired. http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/p...OptionsPR.mspx Where does that say anything about volume licensing? Unfortunately that had a time limit imposed on that option when running more then one pc at home. The MS page on legalization can be seen at http://www.microsoft.com/piracy/know...alization.aspx

You start this thread preaching volume licensing. I explain that volume licensing is not applicable to this thread. Then you bring in some old expired offer that you obviously just hit Google for that has absolutely NOTHING to do with volume licensing or your op in this thread, like it has some merit, some weight or in ANY way has ANYTHING to do with this thread.
Then, on top of that, you throw the piracy thing in there, no doubt another Google find, which also has NOTHING to do with this thread, a page I've read numerous times in the past (I do actively report piracy and have had more than one operation shut down as a result). Damnit, if you're going to site your daily search results at least make SOME sort of effort to understand the results and use SOME sort of effort to effectively apply what you found, rather than desperately grabbing anything you can, no matter how unrelated it may be, to try and convince someone that really DOES know what they're talking about that you may have half a clue. The more you try, the more it's obvious that you don't. Whatever. I really don't have any more time to spend on your stupidity. Last edited by SirKenin; 03-10-2008 at 03:46 AM. |

What you missed was what was offered for XP with small business additional licensing not volume licensing that allowed for upto 15 machines on one license. The family rewards offer wasn't found on Google but was the introductory offer for Vista last year when it first came out.
That's been discussed on previous occasions right here at CF a year ago. But I forget your only interest in posting at all is simply to smear others! not do any actual fact finding.

Oh I see.. So is there ANY goddamn reason why your recommendation in your OP was to recommend an expired offer as a solution to someone's problem?
Facts? The fact that you recommend expired offers as solutions? The fact that you get almost everything you say wrong? The fact that 90% of what you post is irrelevant? The fact that you ramble on and on and on with irrelevant stupidity? The fact that nobody cares about your damn pictures "as seen there"? The fact that any knowledge you do have is so archaic and not applicable even Fred Flinstone laughs at you? The fact that you don't have the first damn clue about MS licensing, recommending two solutions that aren't even available to the OP? The fact that you recommend Knoppix as the one and only tool, when it won't even read any NTFS drive that Windows itself can't read or repair? The fact that you can't read anyone's posts and start rambling on and on like you actually know something, rather merely citing quotations from your searches? What fact is it that I'm missing exactly, that bears ANY relevance whatsoever? Or would you like to post another selection of pictures "as seen on Google Image Search"? God. How you manage to get through life without someone throwing a computer at you is completely beyond me. Now, while you masturbate in your basement at the thought of being promoted to tech at Best Buy some day before you retire, I actually have work to do. These computers are ready to ship, so I'm going home. Feel free to add more of your irrelevant stupidity. |

"only sells volume licensing"? Small businss 3yr. license upto 15 machines offered for XP. What Is It? The Small Business Platform license is a three-year agreement that provides one, easy-to-manage license that covers three products critical to your company’s productivity. With this agreement you receive all of your: • Windows XP Professional upgrade licenses • Office Small Business Edition 2003 licenses • Windows Small Business Server 2003 client access licenses http://www.microsoft.com/ireland/sma.../platform.mspx Six month promotional offer for Vista when first released.

roflmao.
Oh my God, Ladies and Gentlemen of the board I rest my case. haha. After a crappy start to the day, despite the fact that he's a complete tool and by trying to prove "competence" he proved that he doesn't have the first clue what he's talking about.... That actually made me laugh. I needed that. Glad I read it. Do you debunk it? No. Because, his post sees that he's clueless and as seen there it should be perfectly obvious that citing the fact that Windows Me saw a dual boot with 98 on a Pentium 3 computer sitting in my basement is completely and equally relevant to this conversation and backs up every point I've made and somehow proves that I'm at least somewhat competent. haha. Oh man.. k.. Time to work. |

what I hate about these threads is you get reported and 'in trouble' if you state the obvious truth. We all come on here acting like saints, and the poor bugger trying to get windows on a few computers ends up spending money they really shouldn't have to.
On irn-bru bars. Top notch sweets. No talk of illegal activities here you honour, no sir.
