Id have to disagree with you on a few things HPI.

CPU: http://microcenter.com/single_produc...uct_id=0281097

Case: (You can get a cheaper one if you don't care too much about the looks): http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16811129021

Mobo: http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16813131196

GPU: http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16814127323

Ram: http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16820145184

HDD: http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16822148294

PSU: http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16817139002
I picked a modular one because of the case, if you switch to another you should be able to find a cheaper, Non-modular psu

Optical Drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827106079

Cost: 1089$

Edit: Switched the optical drive

Damn I was looking for that ram I didn't see it though!

Id spend the little bit more on the Quad for sure.

Antec 900 is a great case.

I went for a cheaper but better Psu that can be arranged nicely in that case.

Why spend more on that gpu when it really has no noticeable improvement over the GT?

okay i'm going over these now and tahnks for the input guys but 2 2gigs of ram means 4 gb total sorry about the confusion on that 1

oh and its better to go for a 2.4 quad core insted of ilke a 3.0 duel? or the other way arond, i really dont get what a quad core dose over a duel.. its slow.. but more processorrs.. so wont it only help if i'm running 4 or more apps at once?
