Default How can i hook up +/- speakers to laptop?

I drive semi trucks and i used to use FM transmitters to set the chanel on the radio and listen through the speakers in the truck, well that player broke so im looking for another route.

Lets say i have a laptop or an MP3 player that has a phone jack so you can hook up headphones, and the trucks that i drive they all have a +/- holes like all speaker boxes do in the back. Does anyone know if i can some how use a phone jack and split it into +/- and plug it to each hole? so it will play on car speakers? this way MP3 player can be hooked up to speakers as well.
