Question Record Computer Screen Software

Does anyone know if there is an free or some trail of a program that will record my computer screen? I want to make a video of my computer for a friend. He is looking in to buying a computer the same model as mine and he wants to see how fast it runs. So id like to make a video for him.

If you know of any programs that will record my computer screen please let me know. Thanks in advance

Check out Fraps.

Then there is Game Cam.

Some people may recommend XFire, since they released a beta cam, which is a bit laggy, and I would go with something that dedicates to filming, opposed to offering it as a side service.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

I use Hypercam
...you have to pay for it, but even the trial version is good. it just displays the name in the top left, but its hardly noticeable...
