Default iTunes Help

Hey guys.

When i buy a new CD and i wanna Rip it to my iTunes to put on my iPod, some of the tracks that i rip get this horrible skipping sound or hissing sound for a few seconds, i don't even know if that's how you would describe the sound, but it's horrible.

Anybody know how i could fix this??

Thumbs up

Try a different program like windows media player and see if does the same thing.

Otherwise it could be your CD / DVD drive.

Sounds like it could be a dodgy disk drive, but this might help:
in iTunes click edit>preferences
Select the advanced tab, then importing. Then check the bottom check box (Use error correction...) to see if that improves the quality.
Or maybe it could be that you have somehow set the bitrate to something very very low, try using MP3 160kbps or above, or AAC 128kbps or above.
