Alright guys I have recenlty been on here alot trying to figure out what I want to do about building a new computer. I have a budget of about 1100 dollars and want to build the best computer I can with it I have used cyberpowerpc.com and also ibuypowerpc.com but I am thinking maybe I want to just build one myself from the ground up. I don't play any very high graphic games so far the game that would probably stress the system most would be battlefield 2. other than that i play a litte counterstrike, empire earth, and age of empires. so if you had the choice what components would you chose for the build any advice is greatly appreciated. i have no idea what mobo i want etc etc. please help. also many of you may wonder since i don't know what i am doing in terms of what to buy for a computer how would i put one together well i have someone close to where i live who can do this for me or my cousin would be able to do it for me. i have also thought about just reading the diy tutorials on here and trying it out myself. thanks.

Correct, but with the X38, he can take advantage of full 45nm support, and PCI-E 2.0.

RedDevil6 - Sorry if this sounds harsh...
You put everything into the greatest parts! Pefect build. Then I look at the RAM and GFX. I'm horrified. 7600 will have problems maxxing BF2. And a 8600 is equivalent to that. At least a HD3850 512MB, and just one set of: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820220144

Here we go again. What good is it when you got NO OS which adds to price. Second for what he need you guys are making him spend money he does not need to. Why get a case for more than $100. Why even get cpu cooler when he most likely not over clock which the stock fan will just do. Reddevil6 hows he going to install anything with out a DRIVE?

sho95- sorry if im being a bit harsh, but instead of complaining about what everybody else is doing wrong, why dont YOU throw in your suggestions?
as for my suggestion, I would go with reddevil6's list, but change the CPU to the E8400 and add a WD 500GB HDD which run ~100 and a couple of write drives, which together will be another 100 for a good pair. and Windows Vista Home Premium
