Default Which Laptop to choose :/

Well...I bet you guys on computer forum get loads of these coming through where people ask for a recommendation.

Well here's another one!

I was just wondering with a budget of around £600 which laptop would be the best for me? I am loooking to use it for a bit of gaming as well as school work and other general tasks.

So could anyone recommend me a website or a laptop at around £600?

Thanks.
Pete.

if i were you i would get the dell inspiron 1505. i recently got a 1501 and am loving it. the 1505 has an upgraded hard drive and bluetooth and runs about $700 us, so near £350.

with the other £250 go out and buy yourself a wireless router, computer speakers, and a external monitor. then your good to go.

As far as Dells go, you might want to look at the Latitude models too. They're usually smaller and lighter, they're just targeted more toward businesses. I think the D630 is the newest, but the D620 has a nice look and shape.

It also depends on what OS you plan on running. I've seen a few cases already of Inspiron models that come with Vista having serious issues with the video drivers. This could be something that MS worked out recently, but this is something the Latitude doesn't seem to face.

Another good option may be something made by ACER. Many of their new models seem to be greatly improving, and they seem to have better prices than most.

Default Thanks for the reply's.

Thanks for your replys.

I've searched a bit and is it worth getting a Laptop with an AMD Turion 64 intead of an Intel?

I like this one - http://www.ebuyer.com:80/product/140800
But I don't know if I'd rather get a laptop with a Intel Core2Duo in it. What do u think?
