Default Burning DVD in Nero

Just tried burning a DVD with a 16x dvd-r disc using Nero 7. I had "2-pass" on in Nero, and maximum possible speed. When i play the finished dvd, it is choppy slow, and the audio is out of sync with the video. So my question is, what are some optimum burn settings when using a dvd-r 16x in Nero 7?

Don't put the speed at max, put it to slow or medium. That should do it.

I never use 2 pass btw and it's always fine.

Could be your torrent is crappy or what ever your using.

Mostly it's because you have it set to max burn. The slower it burns, the better the DVD will be.

rule is use half the max speed of the disk. certain brands deviate from this rule
burn quality also depends on the quality of the burner and disk
what is your disk brand, disk rated speed, and burner brand?

Cheap media can cause it and or firmware out dated. Some drives will perform better using +'s media. Also could be your dvd player that does not like the media and speeds of the burns. One more thing it could be that your PSU can Handel all the load the drive causes at max speeds.
