Default Screeching Noises

Hey.

After overclocking my cpu, I decided to play Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl. However, whenever i launch the game, a screeching noise is evident in the menus and the game. However, this does not happen with other games like (WoW & Oblivion).
The sound is for sure coming from the computer.

Info and advice needed.

cpu fan maybe? or the drive you have the game disk in? these are the only things i can think of that might speed up while you're playing. If they're dirty or bad quality, the moving parts might screech.

Thanks for your reply.

I took apart my computer and removed the case fan, took the PSU out, and started the computer. Listened to the PSU, there was no sound. Listened to the graphic card, there was the high pitch screeching/whining noise. To make sure it wasn't the CPU fan, i took off the Artic Cooling Freezer Pro and put on the normal heatsink for e6300

i have read some other cases about this but i m not sure if a) the card is power hungry since i have a earthwatts 500, or b) its defective

Gaming = more power needed increases = more heat = computer increases fan power = bearing issues.
