hai.

ive been using this sound card for quite some time. i play quite a bit of CS amongst other things, so quality sound is important. however a working microphone is even more important. so heres my problem.

I bought a headset called Medusa ProGamer LAN-edition a while ago. said to be the very best headset on the market, and its lived up to all its rumors outstandingly. the audio is awsome, the bass blows you away, its comfortable as hell, but the microphone is seriously lacking. im not sure why, but unlike guys i know i have to have outbound at 10 on ventrilo, and line-in on max for them to hear me properly. when i shift to gamer mode, they can barely hear me at all. so im stuck gaming in entertainment mode, made for music.

My clan is going back into tournaments soon, and for that i would really like getting the gamer mod i payed good money for. i've tried everything but changing my sound-card. (ive replaced the headset once for faulty sound on the left ear, didnt fix the microphone tho)

btw, im running on vista x32. i'd really apprechiate any help with this.
