Default Blank Monitor

I made a new PC but when I boot up, I get nothing on the monitor. THe fan on the vid card spins. The motherboard I have has no onboard video so is there another way I can check if the card is busted or not?

Check your RAM, be sure the mobo's seated corrected and not shorting out on anything, test the power supply in another computer or another power supply in that computer, remove parts and see if it starts working(run a single stick of ram, no cards, etc etc)

Is your PSU unsufficient?

Is your RAM working properly?

Remove all unnecessary components. (EX: Wireless card, sound card, ect).
