Default Bad Harddrive?

i have a HP Pavillion ZE4900 notebook... it was acting up about a week ago and finally had microsoft hell and the computer shut off. then i went to reboot and it would get to the part where it sais Windows is Loading and wouldnt load all the way i had to completly swipe my harddrive any ways... i am still gettng blue screen of death and the computer completely shuts off periodicly maybe i have a defected harddrive? idunno.. what do you guys think?

I experienced a similar case with my previous notebook. The hard disk was gone completely and the notebook wouldn't boot anymore. In brief, notebook hard disks are not that reliable and the defective rate is far more than normal hard disks. My notebook hard disk was made in Phillipens, which I never knew they were manufacturing hard disks before, that's why I usually pick hard disks made in singapore, Malyasia or Taiwan, they are the best as far as I tried till now.
