when opening my music, it takes about half a minute to open(but does include 24.6 Gigs of music... but half a minute?) with firefox, when someone gives me a link to open a website, the link does not open firefox. it doesnt do anything. im pretty sure this is a simple fix but i still am clueless other then that, xp works great thanks again!

you can safely say that the music problem isn't a bug. Your computer isn't like superman you know? reading out 25gigs of music into your windows media player or whatever you use just doesn't go so fast. There are hundreds of files to be opened...
as to the link problem. From where are you opening it? msn, icq, aol some other internet browsing app?

this is true, 25 gigs is ALOT of files to be opened and viewed, but the cpu doesnt seem to be hauling speed, just kinda freezes for the half minute until all the folders pop up
as for the link situation- i use mozilla firefox, and the links that i try to launch are from anywhere, aol instant messanger, different websites that include hyperlinks- iv been copy and pasting the urls, yes i could just copy and paste, but i liked it the other way

the bottleneck probably isn't your cpu. it's your hard disk. Needs to read out alot of files on alot of different places.
and i can't do more about the link problem then offer an alternative, try opera.
