Default I finally chose a monitor!

Ok, not that most of you care, but I'm glad I finally bought one. I went with the LG L226WTQ, mainly because it was $50 and $80 cheaper than the two Samsungs that were my other options. Also, I like the matte finish on the case, instead of the glossy, reflective black.

Of course, since Best Buy has a very lenient return policy, this isn't necessarily the end of my monitor journey, but hopefully it is!

Now I just need a keyboard, but the place I want to go get it is closed for today. ::sigh:: One more delay....

Good choice. Outside of the picture itself, that's what I liked about it. The glossy finish is a dust and fingerprint magnet.

I have the same monitor, snatched it up at best buy for $300 even. A great deal, and it retails for $360

Yeah, i can't stand those glossy monitors either, very distracting IMO.

lol, no, but I'm tempted to try the 2253BW. I almost *did* get it yesterday, but there was no display and I didn't like the idea of going into it blind, but then again the display of the LG that I saw made one picture look too red (compared to the Acer next to it) and sometimes too dark. Hopefully that isn't normal!

There's also the 2053BW, because I haven't fully embraced 22" yet. ::sigh::

The LG has a much higher quality LCD than any acer, so I'm sure colors will look more vivid. Also, if that was in a store, they never adjust the settings on those things

At my Best Buy, all the "display" monitors are fed from one computer, so the display is weakened and distorted X amount of times. The computer is running at 1024x768 as well.

It's terrible.
