Best cheap cheap notebook!

Looking to buy a laptop for $500 please.

They are everywhere but is there a 2 gig memory model that beats all?

It's a fact of life that we are sitting on the cutting edge of 2 gigabyte dual processors and 2 gigabyte memories on our lower end Laptops that sell for about $500 or less.

Are there any recommendations for the best one of these for the money that's out there right now? -- It's nothing short of phenomenal!

what your asking is a bit hard to come by...

Yes, that second one is a good one. Two gigs of memory and firewire and everything, even a web cam for $529 on sale at Circuit City with a free printer and free Microsoft security software. That is an amazingly good deal. Thanks.

That is probably the best deal for a laptop of this century so far!
