Here are two hard drives. They are Original Equipment Manufacturer so if you don't have any Serial ATA cables to connect it to your motherboard and power supply you will have to buy some.

Seagate Barracuda Model ST3500630AS 500 gigabyte Serial ATA Hard Drive - $105

Maxtor DiamondMax 21 Model STM3500630AS 500 gigabyte Serial ATA Hard Drive - $107

Default New Egg Specials with Free Shipping (500GB and 750GB)

New Egg has a couple of good deals at the moment (with free shipping). It of course depends on your budget. I personally have 5 of the 500GB drives and love them.

$99 @ New Egg (w/ Free Shipping)--> Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD5000AAKS 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb

$139.99 @ New Egg (w/ Free Shipping)--> SAMSUNG Spinpoint F1 HD753LJ 750GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive

Some of the posters on this forum have been talking about the poor quality control of Western Digital lately. They say the Western Digital Caviar Hard Drive models have had quite a few bad batches that got released on to the market. If you want a Western Digital Hard Drive go with the Raptor models.

Few more within $20 on TD, too; just search for them.

Both of those drives are crap.
Meaning that they are refurbished, then yes. Meaning that they are WD, whatever, we don't need another soapbox...

And yet you offer no alternatives?

Default Fastest Drive / Drive Space

Western Digital has a new 640GB drive thats getting great reviews - very fast (like a raptor) and has a ton of storage. New Egg has then for $130.
