I just built a new machine with Windows Vista 64bit Home Premium. I am trying to use a Linksys adapter to connect to a network but I can not get it to install. I am thinking that maybe the adapter will not work with 64bit Windows. What are some adapters that are 64bit compatible preferably Linksys?
Another problem I am having is Vista is not picking up any networks to connect to. On the computer I am using now using Windows XP, I am connected through a network using a Linksys adapter. Right now, there are 2 computers that are connected to the internet. My dad has the Linksys router connected to his and I am connected wireless with an adapter. I need to get internet on there so I can update Windows and other stuff.

for ur first question, i really can't recommend any adapters. For your second question, ide first suggest u get a working card before u try connecting t any networks
. if ur using a wired conection w/ the 64-bit vista, and it doesnt connect u first might wanna go to ur routers setup page with the Xp comp ur using now and find the reset to factory button. do that, clean out all the temp. files on the 64-bit vista. and retry that.

If I connect the computer directly to the router, I can get internet. But I can not get the network adapter to install.
