Why I'm not building? I'm not building my own because I can get an interest free loan (from the bank I work for) but it only would pay for a completely built computer, not parts. So how does this look for the price? Should I change anything in the build, I was using ww.ibuypower.com to make this desktop. edit: forgot to mention I'm going to use this computer for music production mainly plus movies, internet, and burning discs. btw hi to everyone, been reading the board over the past few weeks and just now am postin. But if IEEE-1394 is essential, just stick with the one you choose. Video card: get HD3450/ 3650. They are HDCP ready, in case you want to hook it to TV with HDMI in future |

If my interest free loan would cover this I would but I doubt they would change their policy, I'll look into it though... Also I'd have to add the $90-100 operating system to that price right? |

Any other recomendations? I can switch the motherboard and just get a firewire card (I think) and switching the video card is no problem. |

Also by changing MOBO I would only have two slots for ddr2 ram and was thinking about dropping the ram to 512 mb and just purchasing this to put in when I get it
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231122 that total would come out to approximately 750.00 for: Case ( [$15 OFF Mail-In Rebate] Nzxt Apollo Gaming Tower Case w/420W Power Supply Black ) Power Supply ( Standard Case Power Supply ) Processor ( Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E6750 (2x 2.66GHz/4MB L2 Cache/1333FSB) ) Processor Cooling ( [=== Silent ===] Extreme-Performance INTEL CPU Cooling Fan System Kit Silent & Overclocking Proof = Maximum cooling efficiency for quietness and performance ) Motherboard ( MSI P35 Neo-F P35 Chipset w/7.1 Sound, Gb LAN, S-ATA, USB 2.0 PCI-E MB [$15 OFF Mail-In Rebate] ) Memory ( G.SKILL 4GB(2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory ) Video Card ( ATI Radeon HD 3450 256MB PCI-Express x16 ) Hard Drive ( 250 GB HARD DRIVE [Serial-ATA-II, 3Gb, 7200 RPM, 8M Cache] ) CD-RW/DVD-RW Drive ( [Lightscribe Technology] 20X Dual Format/Double Layer DVD±R/±RW + CD-R/RW Drive Black ) Sound Card ( 3D Premium Surround Sound Onboard ) Network Card ( Onboard LAN Network (Gb or 10/100) ) USB 2.0 Accessories ( Build-in USB 2.0 Ports ) Flash Media Reader/Writer ( 12-In-1 Internal Flash Media Card Reader/Writer Black ) Operation System ( MS Windows XP Home Edition w/ Service Pack 2 ) Additional Software ( Microsoft Works 8.0 (make the most of your home PC) ) Warranty ( Warranty Service Standard 3-Year Limited Warranty + Lifetime Technical Support ) That look any good for the price?
