Just cause you use the same media brand does not mean its the same. As newer faster burners come the media changes and the codes are not the same. You could get ASUS but also think about pioneer cause they are the same.

Oh really? I was going to order in the ASUS DRW-2014L1T, which is currently selling on Newegg for about $36. What's the equivalent pioneer model?

The drive you post is a SATA drive. Make sure that your motherboard can support it. If it does I would get this:

best drive out at this point.

come with everything including NERO7
