Like said above depends on the company, verizon sucks and so does bell, i prefer cable even if my shitty lines are lagging me

i dl at about 1mb on cable. cant complain.

i also find that with dsl my phone line had a bit of static and didnt sound that great

ya mine had that but with your modem should come a spitter of some sort to fix that. When i hang up my phone it has a high pitch noise but only on this ohine in my computer room it is wierd and annoying lol

Cable. From quality websites, I download anywhere from 800kb/s to 1mb/s+. Sometimes I can get 3-4mb in a split second.

All provider suck when it comes to support. Its even worse when you got a router you did not get from them and its always your side that has the problem. As for the best one I would have to say DSL cause when I had cable it lag out many times. Super slow from 5-8 pm and if any one it the block had a broken wire your connection will suck.
