Default #$%^&* bogeyman using my mums laptop?

The laptop is Aspire 5720. What happens is that every 1 minute or so some kind of magic finger presses the right mouse button. I mean, it is as if I just clicked the mouse button - even when I didn't. Guess how annoying it is? One example - I'm typing up stuff, typing up stuff, typing up stuff, and WHAAM the cursor jumps to wherever the arrow's pointing. In the long run, this is very very VERY annoying. OS is vista home pro. Anyone know how to fix this? Ty for all replies.

I'm trying to remain calm...

I think someone has hijacked you're mums laptop remotely!

I would get a HTL up here ASAP!

EDIT: download Hijackthis from here, after that right click it and run as admin...

do a scan and save log file, copy the content of that log file and post it here.

It's not connected to the internet. I'll see what happens if I turn the wireless off...but it doesn't seem that anyone is actually controlling it - it's just those random "clicks".

Well, i'll do the scan anyway. You never know...i'll be posting my HT log later. Kinda busy now (going to sleep...)

Ok just seems like the tell tale signs of a remote user messing about, yeah do a log and post it here. Will take it from there.
