You can, all of the Core 2 Duo's and Quads are 64-bit, as well as several other processors. However the original Core Duo's were not.

Awesome, thanks. Now could I install another OS on a partition I make, for dual boot or wtvr? Or would i need to clean install a 64bit OS.

OOOrr..

Would all my other programs work on the 64bit OS? since it creates 2 "Program Files" folders, one for x86 and another for the 64bit enabled programs.

You can create separate partitions on one hard drive and install different OS's on them if you'd like.

Most programs will work on a 64 bit OS, so I wouldn't worry about it.
