T7500 is faster than any Turion processor

And there is a huge difference in terms of performance between T7500 and the Turion X2 TL-60

I would go with T7500

The intel laptop cost only %10 more but it will give you much more than 10% performance increase

HDD size is different, and the more expensive one has a fingerprint reader. Maybe there are other differences too.

Its more about price versus performance here I know I cannot get the best and how much am I willing to spend, I would like the best but when it comes to spending I would like to keep it down a little. Will it really help all that much with applications and gaming, enough to justify the extra expense?

I mean with a resolution of 1280 x 800 I don't exactly need a powerhouse...

I know what you mean, but no, honestly if I was in your shoes I wouldn't spend that extra money on the Intel. The AMD system will complement that video card fine in games, and you get 40GB more storage space as well (and .5lbs lighter).
