Default Vista backup Question

I just purchased a new Acer Desktop Computer, I hooked it up, and turned it on, went through initail setup and everythingis working. My question is how do i make a Start Up Disk, and also a System Restore Disk?

Recently I purchased an Acer Laptop, and during the setup it automatically prompted me to insert a disk, and that was my start up disk. This prompt did not come up on the desktop.

Please explain in simple answers, no that tech savy.

There should be a utility that came on your pc but, some companies dont do this. If you cant ind one on your pc then just search for a free utility online. Make sure you dont mess up when making the copies as you can only do it once.
