Default I can't get my E2180 to 3.2Ghz

I have been running my E2180 at 3.0 Ghz (333x9) for the few weeks that I owned it, and it runs just fine at 1.425 volts, no other increases in voltage.

I've heard that it's good to have your CPU and RAM running 1:1. So I've been trying to get my computer stable at 400x8. No luck. I have a Artic Cooler 7, and it has never allowed the temps above 59 degrees. I have the Vcore at 1.5V, and the RAM, FSB, and North Bridge are all +.1V.

The computer does not stay stable for more than 2 minutes in Orthos when I do the blended stress test. It does however work on the "Small FTT's - stress CPU" setting. Any recommendations are welcome.

Also, how much benefit is it to run your CPU and RAM at 1:1?

What are your ram timings?

I have not touched the timings. I believe they are set at 5-5-5-15. does the orthos tests' lead you to believe that it may be my ram? it's running at 800 mhz right now.

If you're passing Small FFT but failing blend, it's usually the ram. RAM voltage? I may not be able to help right now cause I got work tomorrow but I know someone else will ask these questions before they can help you. Also, you could run MemTest to test for ram stability.

Do you know why the ram will run at 800 when the FSB is 333, yet it won't run at 800 when the FSB is 400?

I tried to achieve 3.2 Ghz at different multipliers. 8, 9, and 10 are all only orthos stable for about 2 minutes. I was running the RAM at +.2V, and the North Bridge and FSB at +.1V

Do you think I cannot achieve 3.2 Ghz? How much benifit would I gain by having my RAM and CPU at 1:1?

Put your multiplier to the highest (stock) as your mobo might not like the high FSB, turn your ram speed down until you can find your max cpu clock

Okay, So I've tried every FSB and Multi combonation possible and can't get to 3.2Ghz. I've tried 7,8,9,10 and they all crash after a few minutes of Orthos. RAM is set at 5,5,5,20 and locked at 1:1 ratio. I've tried overvolting everything I could by +.1V. I guess my E2180 can't make it to 3.2Ghz.

What are your voltages reading in windows? What is the Max voltage you've tried? You may just need more voltage. What power supply do you have?

I am currently running my computer stable at 3.0Ghz at 1.425V. I do not know what it is reading in windows (I'm not on my computer). I have tried up to 1.5V for 3.2Ghz. I don't dare go any higher than that.

Here is my power supply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817339001
