Default !!!Help Burning AVI file to DVD-R and Playing on DVD Player!!!

Hi,

I have avi video files that i want to burn to DVD-R so that i can watch them on my tv. The Tv i have is a DMTECH LQ20XT. It has a built in DVD/DIVX player.

I have trasferred 1 of these files onto a CD-R and it played fine however, i can only fit 2 files on the CD-R and i have 22 files and therefore i purchesed some DVD-R which have a very much larger capacity which i can fit over 11 of these files on however, this would not play on my TV.

Can anyone help me out?? Pleeeeaaaassseee!!!

Thanks

Here are two links so that you can have a look at the specs.

There's really only a few things that can be mentioned here that would prevent playback of dvd-r burned on one drive and run on another.

1)burning software used
2)blank media used
3)file format
4)tempermental dvd drive on tv or on pc

The #3 + #4 items kind of go together. One may be a need to convert from avi to mpeg II for playback. The other would be dvds burned on one drive have to be played on that alone if the drive on the tv simply isn't able to run dvds with avi files while still being able to run vcds or video cds.

The blank media used for dvds can be a problem as well. One brand used for audio disks as well as vcds they are the most reliable. But try that brand's dvd-rs... no way! Bad batch of blank media? Always a possibility! Different burning program for dvd projects? That could be a thought there.
