Default Music : Here's a start !!!

So here's the thing, I've just went thru a few threads and found one saying it would be nice to have something about music...so beeing the good guy that I am and knowing more about music than I know about PCs I told myself, I'll try and start a new thread about music and see where it leads... Oh and Praetor...do you like music or is all your energy spent on PC stuff?

I like every single category except the two extremes, as in really heavy metal and classical unless it is like the star wars theme song or something like that. And dont care much for techno music, but I like just about everything else.

I voted disco, cause I grew up in the disco era, you had to be there, it was cool at the time, though my tastes have matured these days, i more into stuff like metallica and linkin park etc

Ok, so here goes: I love Audioslave. I loved Sound GArden and Rage Against the Machine but you got to admit, Audioslave is a good mix of both if I've seen one !!
Rage's style and sound with Chris Cornell's voice...what a duo !!! I don't know when they will be coming out with their next album, but the first one has paved to road for the next one if they ever plan to make one. I found it was a mix of old style Grunge and Funk ....pretty aggressive and yet melodic. You can still here Rage's guitar riffs and in some songs, the basics of soundgarden in the music, not just the singing.

I truly hope that the new band will live on for a couple of years. Because they are GOOD.........it's definitly a new sound.

I was talking to some guy today and he was listenning to AUdioslave. I asked him:

"hey you like their new album?"
"yeah it's really good but who are these guys?"
"Ex members of RATM and Sound Garden!!!"
" Are you serious?"
"Hey , I did not know that at all, the style is pretty new and different !!"
"I guess it might be a bit different seeing its a merger of 2 bands"
"Its great"

So what I made out of that conversation was that, although RATM and SOundGarden where already 2 of my fav bands, they still had a new sound, much funkyer and more melodic than their original bands and I think that they will attrac a bigger crowd in the long run once they have a few albums out.
