Hello,
I recently purchased an external hard drive and it has no power switch, so when I plug it into the wall it powers up automatically. When I'm ready to turn it off, do I just un-plug the cord from the wall??? Thanks in advance! |

the enclosure should have a power button, if not disable write cache on disk then you can remove it without powering it off first.

1. Control Panel 2. SYstem 3. Hardware 4. Device Manage 5. Right click on the drive --> properties 6. Goto policies and uncheck it
